At the End of the Day

from $150.00

At the End of the Day is a fine-art landscape photograph exploring the relationship among light, atmosphere, and the layered geography of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Photographed in 2016 along the Blue Ridge Parkway near Burnsville, North Carolina, the image captures the landscape just before sunset, when cooling temperatures allow mist and fog to settle into the mountain valleys.

Layers of ridgelines gradually recede into the atmospheric haze, shifting from defined foreground forms toward increasingly softened fields of color and light. The changing visibility creates a sense of depth that extends beyond the immediate landscape, allowing the mountains, mist, and fading daylight to become inseparable parts of the experience of place.

Part of the Held Place series in the Earthbound Collection, At the End of the Day continues an ongoing photographic exploration of light as an emotional expression of place. The photograph preserves a transitional moment when familiar terrain is temporarily reshaped by atmosphere, revealing how quickly our perception of a landscape can change.

Printed on archival Hahnemühle Pearl Giclée paper, At the End of the Day is presented unframed and available in four sizes:

  • 8 × 12 in (21 × 30 cm) — Open Edition — $150
