Carved Artworks

Carve is a study in removal: what is taken away, what remains, and what can emerge from the process.

Created through subtraction rather than addition, these works use cutting, scraping, carving, and breaking away to reveal underlying forms. As material is removed, light enters, catches along edges, settles into cavities, and exposes surfaces that were previously hidden.

Across the collection, removal becomes both method and metaphor, exploring boundaries, absence, grief, and transformation. Form emerges through what has been taken away, while light makes that transformation visible.

Carve considers how loss can alter what remains without erasing it.
