Encase
Encase is a study in containment: what is held, what remains visible, and how what is preserved can continue to change.
Created through layering, casting, and embedding, these works suspend inks, mica, and other materials within translucent forms. As light enters and moves through the work, it reveals depth, obscures boundaries, and changes what is visible from one perspective to another. Throughout the collection, containment becomes both a method and a metaphor, exploring memory, experience, permanence, and transformation. Materials may be physically held in place, yet their relationships to light, time, and the viewer remain active.
Encase considers how holding something does not necessarily make it still.
